Coach Approach

In my coaching and in life, I consider both "DO-ing" and BE-ing" to be equally important...  I strive to bring my "coach approach" attitude wherever I go:

  • HOLD POSITIVE INTENTIONS

  • PAY CLOSE ATTENTION

  • BE OPEN TO WHAT COMES

  • ASK POWERFUL QUESTIONS

  • CHALLENGE ASSUMPTIONS

  • CHECK FOR UNDERSTANDING

  • FIND WHAT IS ACTIONABLE

  • MAKE CLEAR AGREEMENTS

  • SET ACHIEVABLE GOALS

  • MANAGE ACCOUNTABILITY

  • CELEBRATE SUCCESSES!

Some Coaching Questions:

  1. What is your vision for your ___________ (impact, work, future, organization, year, etc.)

  2. What successes have you seen so far?

  3. Where do you feel you are not on track?

  4. What do you want to be able to say about your _________ ?  By when?

  5. What current opportunities would you like to pursue if you could?

  6. How much time/money/energy do you have available to invest in what's needed?

  7. What would it look like for you to have additional support?

  8. What resources have you explored already? Which has worked/not worked for you?

  9. Who is in your support system? How might you reach out to them?

  10. What is holding you back?
